Visual Notes and Image Research

Drawing functions as artistic research within my practice. These small studies are not preparatory drawings for specific paintings, but spaces for testing compositions, forms and visual possibilities before an idea has fully taken shape.

These drawings are not preparatory studies for paintings. They are visual notes in which an image begins to test its possibilities.

Through fragments, repetitions and provisional compositions, I explore how bodies, spaces and forms might enter into relation. Some of these images later return in paintings; others remain independent moments of research.

Drawing does not define what the painting will become. It opens a field of possibilities.
