Step 1: Basics of the Renaissance

  • Demystified Grid Technique: Transfer any photo accurately onto canvas like Leonardo’s apprentices
  • Pencil sketches: Gain confidence with guided exercises on outlines

Phase 2: Italian Colour Alchemy

  • Classical Palette Workshop: Mix earthy umber, ochre, venetian red and binaks
  • Secrets of Brushwork: Learn the technique of impasto (thick) versus velatura (glazing) from the Baroque masters

Step 3: Magic of the Background

The workshop will take place in my atelier, which is located inside the Gastaig building in Munich. Atelier 3.137

Duration

  • The duration of Each lesson is 3 hours including a small brake, 1 lesson per week
  • Minimum number of person 2 maximum 6
  • Days and hours : Monday and Tuesday from 18 to 21 hr
