Artist Residency in Italy

Booking & Cancellation Policy

These conditions apply to bookings for the four-day Artist Residency & Painting Workshop at Lake Endine, Bergamo, Italy.

1. Group confirmation and dates

Each residency requires a minimum of four participants and is limited to a maximum of ten.

Residency dates are organised according to participant availability. Once a group with compatible availability has been formed, the organisers will propose the dates in writing.

A session is definitively confirmed when the proposed dates have been accepted and the required deposits from at least four participants have been received. Participants are advised not to purchase non-refundable travel tickets before receiving written confirmation that the residency will take place.

2. Fee and payment

The participation fee is €875 per participant.

A 50% deposit of €437.50 is required to secure a place after the dates have been agreed. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 15 calendar days before the first day of the residency.

If the balance is not received by this deadline, the organisers reserve the right to release the place and offer it to another participant.

3. Participant cancellations

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to info@juantardivo.com.

  • More than 30 calendar days before the residency: the deposit will be refunded minus a €50 administrative fee. Alternatively, the full deposit may be transferred to another residency taking place within 12 months.
  • Between 30 and 16 calendar days before the residency: the deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred once to another residency taking place within 12 months.
  • 15 calendar days or fewer before the residency: payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Non-attendance or early departure: no refund will be issued.

A participant may propose another eligible person to take their place, subject to written approval by the organisers.

4. Cancellation or postponement by the organisers

If the minimum number of four participants is not reached, the organisers may propose alternative dates or issue a full refund of all payments received.

If the residency is cancelled by the organisers, participants may choose between transferring the full amount paid to a future session or receiving a full refund of the participation fees paid.

The organisers are not responsible for external expenses such as flights, trains, visas or travel insurance, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

5. Exceptional circumstances

If the residency cannot take place because of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the organisers, including natural disasters, government restrictions, serious safety concerns or other unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, participants will be offered alternative dates or a refund in accordance with the applicable law.

6. Changes to the programme

The organisers may make reasonable adjustments to the timetable, teaching sequence or individual activities when necessary because of weather, model availability, safety or operational requirements. Any adjustment will preserve the overall duration, artistic purpose and essential services of the residency.

7. Participant responsibilities

Participants are responsible for providing accurate personal and contact information, communicating relevant dietary or accessibility requirements in advance, and maintaining appropriate travel and health insurance for the duration of their stay.

Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions and respect the accommodation, studio, shared materials, other participants and the local environment.
